As if reading that bulletin from Blake wasn't bad enough, I just read Carlotta blog and this excerpt just makes me mad.

WTF is happening!?!?! Suddenly I feel so down and I just feel so bad for Blake. It's like he worked so hard, but he just never got the support he needed, which isn't fair to him at all! With this much talent he has, it just isn't logical that all this is happening. He doesn't deserve even a morsel of such treatment! And it makes me feel bad that there isn't really much I can do (this is not to say I won't continue supporting, because I always will). But what I meant is, in terms of salvaging the damage that has been done. 

This past year has, indeed, been a huge roller coaster ride for Blake. But knowing him and his positivity, I'm sure he is not gonna be affected by all this and keep striving for what he wants and believes in. This is definitely NOT the last we'll be seeing of Mr Blake Lewis. Quoting the man himself, "The light at the end of the tunnel is still just a glimmer, but the outlook is filled with illumination". I'm certain that in time to come, things will pan out for him. And up till then, I (and the rest of us fans) will always have his back. 

Now, you may think this is another typical fangirl post made by a teenage girl with raging hormones who's just crazy insane over a celebrity because of his good looks, fame or insane beatboxing skills. But no, that's not it. Sure, I do have my moments (just as everyone else does) of *squee* and *flail* when I watch interviews or see new pictures. For the most part, however, I'm proud to say that I'm a dedicated fan of Blake's who supports him for his music (and whatever else he does). 

Where do we begin? I believe it was sometime in March of 2007. It was just another day I was flipping through channels and decided to watch American Idol. The only seasons I remember watching previously, were seasons 2 and 3. And since season 3, I wasn't that much into the show. What then, made me decide to dedicate my time to season 6? Well, one fine day I was watching the Top 24 round, and a guy with spikey blonde hair caught my eye. I don't remember watching him sing, but he definitely caught my attention and I thought, "Hmm, I'll have to keep a look out for this guy". Thus, this commenced my journey through the sixth season of American Idol. 

To cut the long story short, right from Virtual Insanity through This Is My Now She Will Be Loved, Blake manages to bring something new to the stage every time with his unique arrangements, and not to mention, his great fashion sense (he should come up with his own clothing line!). 

I've transitioned from being a fangirl (during the American Idol era), to a dedicated fan of Blake and his music now. I just have so much respect and admiration for this guy, not just as a musician but as a person as well. He is truly an inspiration. His positivity has greatly impacted me, and made me see things from a different perspective. It has made me realize, "Why be negative, when it does nothing but bring you down?". Always keep the positive in mind folks. Only the positive. Learn to see things in a different light, it sure makes life so much more worth living. 

I totally agree with what Cindy said about Arista wanting to fit Blake into a mould, and then not giving him the support because he wasn't what they wanted him to be. I truly respect him for always staying true to himself. He is better off without a label that doesn't care anyway. Moving on, I hope his next management/label sees him for who he is and that they give him the support he needs.
