when you're gone and the lights are out, don't be sad for long.
I totally missed the one year mark since I first saw/met The Click Five last Saturday. October 25 2007, a night I will never forget. My first and last time in a club illegally. At least I got to step foot into MOS before it shut its doors. All thanks to my determination to text in 10 times straight one fine morning on the Dan & Young show, I believe it was October 16 2007. Trust me to remember stuff like these. Haha.
It has been 1 year and 6 days since then, time has flown by oh so swiftly. Whenever I watch the videos from the showcase at MOS, I get this indescribable feeling. It's like I can still 'feel' the showcase going on. I never ever thought I'd have an opportunity like this. It was pretty dang surreal. And then there was the autograph session where Vanessa P and I spazzed out like there was no tomorrow. I felt like the luckiest girl in world being able to get a hug from Kyle though, seeing as many girls got denied hugs because of &@*$^*# security. I remember kind of shoving the card to him because (I think it was their Warner rep) pushed it aside as I was gonna pass it to him, saying I could only get one item signed, and he had a 'What???' look on his face. I still can't believe I totally passed Joey and then did not get to meet him after the concert in June either, which sucked because there was school at 8am the following day. Overall it was still amazing though being able to be in the free standing area and right by the barricades (though for the most part, the huge speakers blocked my view of Joey).
Both the showcase and concert were amazing. But I'd have to say the showcase at MOS was a very memorable experience. I guess it's just like what Ethan said about the difference between performing in a club and an arena. In a club there is more intimacy and interaction with the audience, whereas in an arena while it is great to see the crowd all hyped and enjoying the show, there isn't a lot of opportunity for artist-fan interaction.
Suddenly, thinking about all of this is making me miss em.
Don't Let Me Go and
There You Are, which they sang on their MMAGT tour sounded really good. I can't wait for the new album, and when they start touring again!!
