Hey there, and welcome to another episode of Vee's random rants.
What have I been up to? I think you know the answer even before I write it. Yes, school. Of course, what else right? I just have such an interesting life, don't I?
I shan't bore you with the 411 on school, so let's talk about post exams shall we?
The dreaded exams officially ended on Wednesday, Februrary 25 2009. Once we were freed from the sports hall, Yunrong, Candy and I made our way to Mediacorp for Yunrong to collect her prizes from 987fm. It was one heck of a hot day. The fact that we were pretty much lost finding our way to the bus stop did not make it any much better. It sucks that I've been to that place a gazillion times, but I still get lost trying to navigate my way around (thanks to the countless number of bus stops with different bus services). I was a hot sweaty mess by the time we got to the right bus stop. We'd miss the bus we were going to take, but thankfully another one came just as we arrived. Finally, we got to cool down from the sweltering heat.
We alighted just outside Far East plaza and made our way towards Orchard Cineleisure. Once again, under the blazing sun. I just have to add that the weather has been crazy insane! We got to Cineleisure and Yunrong (the horror movie freak) was pretty much bent on watching
Let The Right One In because she heard about it on the radio. Basically, this movie is about a 12-year-old boy who constantly gets bullied in school. He meets a girl who moves in next door to him. She's a queer one - only coming out at night and does not seem the least bit affected by the freezing weather. Well, it turns out that she is a vampire who has been trapped in a 12-year-old's body for a long time. It was a pretty bizarre movie.
After the movie, we were deciding where to go for dinner. We popped by Hip Diners to check it out. Just when we sat down and flipped through the menu, we realize there was not a lot of choices. At this point, we were just sitting there laughing and plotting our 'escape'. They were having some movie promotional event with Vanness Wu, and just as they introduced him. We dashed out and made it look like we were going to go have a look. It was a pretty awkward moment indeed. We ended up going to the Korean eatery at the basement instead. The grilled chicken burger was delish! Oh, and it was one of those hugeass burgers so I had to cut it up in quarters. Still, that wasn't good enough. I eventually ended up eating the bread, chicken and vegetables separately. We were headed back to Far East plaza after dinner for a little window shopping, then it was home sweet home to enjoy the rest of the holidays!
Right now, I'm reading up a tutorial on abstract colouring. Oh hey, look who's on MySpace?! It's Tfizzle! Carlotta's on too. Maybe I should make an abstract Carlotta wallpaper to send to them. I'm not going to lie, I miss getting replies from famous people aka celebrities. Putting the fangirly
ness aside, I just miss communicating with these amazing people (especially a certain someone who I haven't talked to since what, November?).
On a side note, I'd pick music theory over science any day. Even though I used to hate music theory, especially the history parts. What with baroque style and all that
ish. Not to mention, you get to learn new terms in Italian and German (and I think French) too!
I'm still bummed that it is only 6 days to the Jason Mraz concert, and I'm not going to be there :(
